I attended the first day of the NLP training this weekend and boy it totally rocked!
The training kicked off with Shaz who wowed the crowd with a kick start talk. She emphasised the need of letting go of fear and stressed the importance of allowing yourself to ‘royally mess it up’ once in a while- otherwise you’ll never move outside of what you already know! She also talked about the importance of modeling and certainty, techniques and personal qualities she credits as being a part of her huge success! Shaz also demonstrated basic NLP techniques to help one of the students get rid of their paranoia of bridges, the word is that the next day the student walked along a bridge- something they wouldn’t have been able to do before the training!
Shaz was a mean act to follow, but the wonderfully talented Alice did a beautiful job! Alice, who is an internationally renowned, certified trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming, gave us an insight into the power of positive language and of goal setting to help you and others achieve their dreams. And as a special treat, we also got to hear Alice, who also trained as a classical singer, sing!!
I left reluctantly after the weekend to get back to the office! The training was an eye opener and totally awesome!
As the training draws to an end later this week, I’ll give you further updates, including an excerpt of Sharon’s welcome talk! In the meantime this is what some of the NLP students had to say at end of day one:
“I have a feeling that something awesome is about to happen, it’s building and I know that I have to get over myself. I am really looking forward to having more power and freedom in my life and help others get there too.” Natalie
“If there is one training you should attend in your life then, it’s this NLP training.” Kamilla
“My biggest learning so far is that I need to model, and for me it is to model Sharon and her approach. I am really looking forward to learning about myself over the next seven days!” Matthew
