There are three main choices available to you in becoming a life coach. You can study the Certificate IV in Life Coaching, the Advanced Practitioner (includes the Certificate IV in Business) or the Diploma of Life Coaching (the Diploma includes everything from every program, including positive psychology classes, executive coaching, NLP, public speaking training, business coaching classes and support as you develop your coaching product).
Both courses are designed to enable you to experience the most professional coach training available. Your success is assured with quality support, mentoring, practice sessions and training.
We are pleased to announce that The Coaching Institute now offers the Certificate IV in Business (BSB40101) for its coaching students. This program is done in conjunction with your Cert IV in Life Coaching with The Coaching Institute. It is included for FREE with your Advanced or Diploma Program.
You can now achieve two qualifications at the same time. You can now learn even more about running your own small business. You can benefit from training with like-minded people who are starting their own home-based businesses.
Our Diploma of Life Coaching is the ONLYDiploma course that includes NLP Practitioner Certification.

Because we appreciate that flexibility in your study options is important we have designed our courses so that a large portion of them are self-paced. If for any reason you cannot attend a particular class, you can purchase the CD of the complete class from the TCI Bookshop. Because all classes at Certificate IV level are rotated throughout the year, you can also attend the same class later in your course. All classes conducted by phone are repeated at least once throughout your membership in the Certificate IV program.
At the Diploma level, the face-to-face classes are repeated twice each year. The phone classes are not repeated, however the CD’s of all Diploma classes conducted via the phone are available from the TCI Bookshop.
Complete recordings (CD’s) of the Neuro-Linguistic Programming course (Seven days) is available for purchase and is highly recommended.
Complete recordings (CD’s) of the Trainer’s & Public Speaking Skills program (four days) is available for purchase and is highly recommended.
You can study either the Certificate IV in Life Coaching or the Diploma of Life Coaching. It is also possible to study the Certificate IV in Life Coaching and aspects of the Diploma program without enrolling in the entire Diploma program. The most popular enrolment type is the Advanced Practitioner of Coaching (Certificate IV) with the NLP Practitioner training.
Throughout your Certificate IV in Life Coaching training you can repeat any aspect of your course for no charge (except catering costs). At the Diploma level all face-to-face trainings require a fee of 50% of the original amount paid to re attend.
As a student you have the opportunity (by invitation) to come along and assist at any training event you have completed. This is a great way to revisit the learnings, refresh your professional development journey and contribute to the next generation of amazing coaches.
As a professional coach, I am always interested in learning new skills and challenging myself. In August 2006, I attended The Coaching Institute’s Public Speakers and Training Skills Course. The course was focused, intense, challenging and Sharon really pushed me outside my comfort zone. I learnt an incredible amount in four days and my confidence in public speaking rose considerably.
