I joined TCI in October 2014, I remember, I came in the institute with my husband Ray to take my starter kit. I could not believe the energy and feeling around from everyone. They rang the bell and sang, Sharon came around to welcome me in person and lots of pictures were taken. I was joking and I said that we need a Champagne to celebrate and suddenly a bottle appeared ! I felt so happy, like a kid on the first day at school. I will never forget that experience. My intake was on 10 October 2014 when I attended FOCS training with Joe Pane. Three days with Joe went like 3 hours, it was an amazing experience.
That weekend was so inspirational, an eye opener, Joe certainly extends the barriers of your thinking. I knew back then, there is no going back, only forward. The entire environment and the team at TCI is something that I have never experienced anywhere else before. I met lots of fantastic people, and I felt “at home”.. I have upgraded my course to an Credentialed Master Coach as I have corporate leadership background and this will enable me to be more successful in a leadership development and running the workshops. I am so content with my decision and I know this will be amazing journey. I just know…. I listen to Sharon’s CDs in my car every single time I drive and I noticed an amazing change within me. I was always a very positive person and like most of us I had ’ mini me” voice….this voice is getting less and less… My energy level is gone up and everybody around me feels the difference. I absolutely love it !!
I emigrated Eastern Europe for Australia in the early nineties and had to build my career and life from scratch. I hold a Bachelor of law and a Post- Graduate in HRM, major in industrial relations. Over the past 25 years in Australia I had a successful career in the senior executive roles in a leadership development, human resources management, change management and business transformation within medium and large private and government organisations, in various industry sectors, like Telecommunications, Financial services, Retail, Utilities, Manufacturing, Government, Regulatory and Not for Profit. I am happily married and I have 25 years old son. My values are integrity, trust, compassion, learning and my family is the most important out of all.
At the moment I am working as an Executive Manager Human Resources at the Energy Safe Victoria. My plan is to transition full time in the coaching business by the end of 2015. I always loved helping other people grow and the path as a coach will give me a total fulfilment in my career. I would like to help other immigrants like myself, women in particular to fulfil their dreams in their newly chosen home and to help them integrate better in our beautiful country. I am now a full-on Ossie with the “funny” accent and I understand challenges that people from all over the world may have in a new environment, different language, different culture…..
In 201I I have been acknowledged and accepted amongst the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of my outstanding professional career.
At the moment I am juggling my full time executive career, embracing all fantastic books that Sharon and TCI recommended, building my website and I am currently mentoring/coaching a lady from India.. Her name is Bhavya ArunKumaar , she approached me via Linkedin and said that I was the only one amongst so many people she approached who responded to help her. When I told her that I am the student at TCI, she was over the moon, she said that she wanted to become part of it but cannot afford it just as yet. She was thrilled that one of the TCI coaches is now coaching her.
I though it is best if she says her experience with me, to me it is priceless to know that I am able to contribute to her success.
How very fortunate I am to connect with Alma, a true inspiration! It is just amazing how she willingly spares her valuable time to guide me knowing well she has nothing to get in return.
Even her most simple advices create the most noticeable impacts on my endeavours; I knew how to play, she taught me how to win, a true Coach!
Her words keep ringing in my ears “ I was there where you are now” assuring me I can be there where she is now!
She believes in me more than I do in myself, She doesn’t give up on me even when I give up, has given me loads of opportunities to say Thank you, She is a breeze of positivity always cautioning me that negativity attracts negativity… Alma is that beautiful woman, every individual should have as a friend, guide and coach!
My plan for the future is to have my coaching business, largely helping other immigrants, I will also continue leadership coaching and development in organisations which are going through changes. As Joe said on our intake, “Make sure you use your background to build credibility in coaching”…make a sense….My aspirations are to become the best world coach for helping other women to integrate in different countries. I am also currently writing the book on this subject, so watch this space !
I believe in being passionate, companionate, persistent, determined and positive. It is important to provide the value to others and not think of me, ultimately my success will be measured by the success of others that I help. Through my life I had many challenges, I stood strong and I learnt to focus on the end game, it is so important to be true to yourself and to your values. It’s not always easy but with time , you get better and better….. I wish I joined TCI many years ago , this was one of the best decisions in my life….
Thank you Sharon and all at TCI for setting the extraordinary example to all of us . Love you guys.
PS. My husband Ray listens to my webinars and CDs whenever he can and enjoys the benefit of what he is learning also !
