I share a small part of my success story a couple of months ago. About how I began my endeavour in Jan 2010, 19 years old, bored with life and found an amazing opportunity in coaching that redirected my passion is such rewarding way but then it took me 4 YEARS to finally get off my ass, stop lying to myself about “It’ll just happen" and apply myself to what I wanted.
So I manage to make it happen and once i “started”, boy has it kept me on my toes. My life has totally transformed in the space of 6 months, and my idea of what is “impossible” gets increasingly smaller. The cool thing is, now I get to share this amazing new ability to do the once impossible with my clients.
Now I have an abundance amazing clients who allow me to live a lifestyle that I love! A career where I choose them as much as they choose me and a business where it is celebrated for both coach and client to show themselves to the other. This is Freedom! William Wallace would be proud.
Every single day I now get up energised and booted up for life I know why I am doing this, not just for me but the significant impact I want to have on others. This is not one business hour story where it has taken yet another prisoner…. my business exists to provide my with lifestyle, it is a vehicle to leverage. My life does not exist to be in business.
The part of it all is…. making your own rules. Whilst there are MANY different paths to take, this is a path that rewards taking your own path consistently. Most people are too concerned with thinking it needs to be such a certain way, but doing this is about finding your own way and inspiring others to the do the same is what this is about. TCI gives you the canvas, brushes and paints, and then it’s up to create a master piece of your own design. Don’t concern yourself so much with the 10,000th step, you’ll figure that out when you get to the 9,999th.
I have decided exactly who I wanted to work with in dating and relationships and the last thing that my coaching business feels like is another job. It’s not about the money or the status, it’s about being able to have fun on the journey we are all having whether we like it or not. It’s all in how we do not what we do. The journey happens in a blink of an eye, enjoy it.
The biggest thing I see people (including fellow coaches) struggle with is this idea of “us vs them” mentality, where it all a competition and someone must arrive above or below another, it is this attitude that causes you to act with fear and scarcity when it comes to what you give, how you treat your clients and ultimately your success. In fact, working together, collaborating and seeing you and other on the same with no one above or below that is most beneficial to your success.
That “We’re all in this together” attitude is what has built my success and it’s what will continue to do. Right now I’m working with other coaches, both relationship focused and otherwise, to add huge value on the Relationships Revealed website, it adds value to the readers, value to me and and value to those that some might consider “competition”. In the end 2 people working together will get more than 2 person’s work done.
The adventure I’m on keeps on changes and no matter it throws, I’m loving it!! Now I can leverage my time with creating things like products and home study programs to make and even greater impact for myself and others. This is just the beginning.
Don’t take life too seriously, you’ll never get out alive.
