When I attended my Foundations weekend my baby girl was only 6 months old. It was a huge stretch for me leaving her to travel from Perth to Melbourne for 3 days. I felt unsure and afraid and I did not know if I was doing the right thing?
What I did know for sure was that I could not go back to working full time for someone else. Dropping my kids off at daycare five days a week and having to travel for work at the drop of a hat was not the kind of life I wanted to live.
Foundations weekend showed me that there is another way. I left that weekend incredibly excited about creating life on my terms.
That was almost 2 years ago.
Today I can honestly say that I am not the same person as I was back then. The most valuable thing that has changed for me is the way that I think. Once I fully embraced the belief that my thinking creates my reality I was able to start taking responsibility for creating a different outcome.
Here are some of the things I learnt that has made the biggest difference to my life and my business:
I celebrated the day I officially resigned from my full-time position when my maternity leave came to an end. Although I haven’t fully replaced my income yet, I am moving closer the goal every day.
I committed to showing up. It wasn’t always comfortable and certainly not easy. But, helping other people and creating a business that allows me to live life on my terms, is heaven in my mind!
Thank you Sharon and the TCI community for being there every step of the way!
