Single Mum Running A Successful Business
Before discovering The Coaching Institute I had spent 27 years as a TV Producer in the advertising industry. Having been in most of the leading companies in their most senior roles it all became too small for me to progress further. So in the hope of starting up a business of my own and creating some passive income I took a step outside my comfort zone and wrote some books. I was living off my savings and felt like I was running fast and going nowhere.
Initially running my own business was foreign to me after being cushioned by the corporate world for so long. After stepping out on my own there was no turning back to the closed advertising world, so the pressure was real. This was all compounded by the fact I am a single mother of two children (one with multiple disabilities) and no family or support in a new city in Sydney.
It became pressing for me to create income at a high level as fast as possible.
As much as anything it was important for me to be doing something meaningful that also gave me the challenge I desired. Having to go back to a day job was always a choice I could make, however I saw it as a last resort... and gosh did I get close before Mastermind.
I fully credit The Coaching Institute for my ability to reinvent my role in my industry and to confidently perform at a whole new level. I have now created a unique role as a business coach to companies that rely on both creative professionals and a return from their creative work; marketing myself as a Creativity Coach.
The real solution that has tipped me to the point where I am now is actually Mastermind, although the foundations of the training up to that point has put me in great stead to lead with certainty and be able to sell myself at this level.
My training has enabled me to:
- Consult with small to medium sized businesses from $5M to $20M in size with staff up to around 100 people.
- Coach individuals, teams and management with confidence and to lead them to the goals they set.
- Train in cutting edge sales and marketing strategies that even the advertising industry have failed to take on.
- Market and sell my own business to a point where the industry want more of me than there is time in the day.
- Have the skills to know how to leverage the face to face time I do have to take it to the next income level.
- To begin to generate income passively while still managing a near full time coaching practice in order to eventually let go of the full time business.
In addition to these skills the results I can attribute to my training are:
- In 3 weeks from attending Mastermind I secured an ongoing contract for around $20,000 per month.
- I have two ebooks to launch within 4 months of attending Mastermind.
- The confidence that my products will generate income on top of my face to face coaching. With skills learned in Mastermind I can move forward knowing that my ebook market is tested in advance, allowing me to produce the product with confidence.
- I now have the skills to very quickly and efficiently produce products that generate income when in the past I had the desire, the willingness to work hard, but without the strategies that make the difference to generate income.
- The sales and marketing skills from Mastermind has given me the language and the certainty to present myself in whole new ways. My face to face selling has a 100% success rate to date and I am booked out 12 months ahead at the time of writing this.
