School Teacher to a Small Business Coach Turning Over $250k a Month

Background

I knew if I wanted to create the life I wanted for Cate and myself then I needed to find a better way, a way that would allow us to earn the $20,000 a month that I knew I could.

I had started a number of small businesses and worked on them part time while still teaching full time. My day would begin at 5am and run through to 11pm each day and also another 5 hours on weekends. Life was certainly not the dream and everything was becoming far to hard.

Why Coaching

I was interested in finding a better way of teaching others how to become successful.  I was given a book ‘The Answer’ for Christmas 08 and it was the first book that I actually read, let alone in 3 days. It opened up a whole new world, a universe that actually worked how you wanted it to be telling it a few things to focus on.

I was at the time building a product distribution company and thought that if I could teach my business partners better that would allow us to grow quicker. So I went onto Google and searched ‘Personal Development’.

Why The Coaching Institute?

After finding The Coaching Institute in July in 2009 I knew that this was the right course. Their professionalism, personal attention to detail, their caring about me as well as all the stuff they were willing to give away, told me that they had so much more to offer.

I was impressed with the qualifications that they offered, which was important to me as well as the professionalism that they showed. As a business owner both aspects were important points.

When I spoke to them I asked to speak with Sharon and was lucky enough to get her at the right time and we chatted for a few minutes only. During that time the way she conducted herself, the questions she asked and the general care she showed had me faxing in my paperwork within minutes. There wasn’t a decision to be made, they had just showed themselves in my mind to be the very best in Australia. Since that day I now know that to be true!

I started my Coaching Institute program in August of 2009 and by December 2009 resigned from teaching and took on the world. I realised very quickly that The Coaching Institute took you step by step and that they prepare you from the very first day with a pre-intake manual and CD’s all the way through to organising coaching practice teams to having a customer support team that actually call you to ensure you're still on track.

Results

After the 3 day intake, I was away with 6 pro-bono clients in the first week and over 50 hours of coaching within the first month. That was just the beginning the weekly classes; the bonus classes the people you have access to as friends of The Coaching Institute allow you to continue to grow at your own pace.

Between August and December I had accomplished:

  • 100+ hours of coaching
  • 10 pro-bono clients
  • 4 paying clients with invoices for over $5,000
  • Had started my own online radio show about ‘The Secrets To A Super Life’
  • I had become a trusted member of 4 networking groups

However that became the tipping point. From December 09 to February 2010 I have accomplished:

  • 7 full year clients with invoices of $140,000
  • Generating over 70 leads per day
  • 3 Membership Sites with a minimum of 12 members paying a monthly fee
  • Some great Joint Venture business partners
  • A small business 3 day seminar
  • Small business products selling daily

I have created a $65,000 month of February and are on track to generate $20,000 months from here on out. The goal is to have $100,000 months by December 2010.

I could not recommend anything more highly than The Coaching Institute and all of their programs. Without them I would not be in the position I’m in today to help and support others on a daily basis.

The community at The Coaching Institute along with the support that is provided by EVERYONE involved with the team there is amazing; you never feel alone. Thanks Sharon and the team for a life changing experience.
