Audrey Thomas and I met at our Foundations of Coaching Success Training in 2009 and shared the TCI journey all the way through, attending the Diploma classes together and having phone conferences to help each other nail the assessments.
We each built up our own coaching businesses based in two states and have been enjoying working full time as coaches and trainers since then - as well as launching and offering online programs and products.
About a year ago, we launched our first join program, and it's really taken off.
In 30 days, we had 500+ on our mailing list, nearly 400 on Facebook, and we'd donated nearly $1,000 from sales to the Cancer Council charity. As well as this, we'd paid out nearly $1,000 to our affiliate referrers.
The feedback from the program has been amazing...
The idea we've taken from this is that - once you have your big idea... GO FOR IT! This is the fifth idea for a joint program that we came up with this year, and the only one we acted on because it felt right.
We both know how it feels when a program fails (we've had plenty of flops between us, too), and we were prepared to give this all we had - regardless of the outcome.
We went into 2014 with this program as our major focus, which is absolutely not where we were in 2013. So interesting how things develop.
Fast forward twelve months to now…
We have over 2000 on our mailing list and offer four distinct programs through My 15 Minutes, including courses for Small Business owners and for parents. Earlier this year we ran a ‘telesummit’ and attracted speakers like Layne Beachley, Masterchef Julie Goodwin, Collective editor Lisa Messenger and others, all of whom shared with us the ’15 Minutes that Changed My Life’. Our program has been written about in glossy magazines and weekend newspapers. We’ve received truly beautiful testimonials about the impact the program is making in people’s lives and have been nominated for awards.
You know something’s going to work when the first sale comes through four minutes after sharing the sales copy on Facebook. It’s about playing with different ideas until something ‘fits’, then working really hard (and having fun) to get there.
Hopefully our experience will inspire you to keep going, keep experimenting, and throw yourselves heart and soul into this journey.
