I started my amazing journey this time last year. My Foundations Of Coaching Success weekend blew me away. That takes a lot as I had been in sales for a long time and had seen a lot of speakers and motivational tools during my career, but boy was this different.
I started my amazing journey this time last year. My Foundations Of Coaching Success weekend blew me away.
That takes a lot as I had been in sales for a long time and had seen a lot of speakers and motivational tools during my career, but boy was this different.
For me, I felt a strong feeling that all of my life experiences had been leading me here and that is was now time to cut the bulls%$# and finally live and work on my terms, create my own success and putting all the things I had been dreaming into action.
I started my working life as a chef and then a pastry chef. I spent 10 years in hospitality, owning and running a couple of restaurants.
I then turned to sales as someone told me my Irish ascent would make me a lot of money!
It did in my first role as a door to door rep for Foxtel, learning what I thought was everything I ever needed about sales and life in that role. Then onto a wine rep, which was great as I like a wee wine!
“Two paying clients happened two days after my website went out and both payed upfront for three session’s! I stared at my bank account for about 10 mins and said to myself “Sh#%... I’m a coach!” Awesome!”
Although I was very successful in both, I no longer cared to talk people into things they did not need or want really.
I was however a good story teller with some cracking jokes and wanted to share my stories with others to support them in their day to day life. This is a unique element I knew I could bring to my coaching.
Yes I was scared from week to week, at times feeling so much overwhelm about study, learning new skills and believing in myself, but I never doubted my new path or The Coaching Institute, and knew they would be with me every step of the way.
(Oh and take a few deep breaths too! I am on the ride of my life and the only thing that can stop me is me!)
One of my very favourite moments of this journey is when I launched my website and started a Facebook page for my company The Wandering Guru.
Two paying clients happened two days after my website went out and both payed upfront for three session’s!
