Prior to becoming a student at The Coaching Institute I worked in various industries building my skills in Management, Events, Media, H.R and Marketing, before starting my own business and running it successfully for two years before moving on from it in early 2007. From there I knew I had a passion for helping people, and I absolutely was convinced that working for myself was the path for me, however I had no idea what I wanted to do! That’s when I found myself in the role of Client Services Executive within an Industrial Recruitment company.
Still I was not satisfied; there were elements of my role I loved, the connection with people, making a difference, support, contribution. There were also parts I did not love. Working someone else’s hours, having a capped income earning potential, not growing personally or professionally and of course, not working for myself!
Based on the ‘missing pieces’ and my drive to “Never Live An Ordinary Life” I researched into The Coaching Institute and was delighted by the quality, friendliness, realness and the feeling of being around people who finally ‘got it’.
After my Foundations of Coaching Success Training at The Coaching Institute in January 2009 I gave myself 12 months to become completely self sufficient in my business and build strong foundations, so I would never have to work for someone else again. I focussed on the elements of the Diploma that were going to accelerate my success the most. I built products, immersed myself in the amazing marketing literature both provided and recommended, took on as many business focussed coaching clients as I could and spent the time getting myself coached as well!
In the past 12 months I have also joined the Mastermind program which sent my business to another level again. Within the training room I earned my entire course fees back and one month out of the training am secure to double them again!
My business, The Armchair Entrepreneur (which now has 5 subsidiary brands) now completely sustains my living through Mentoring, Business Training and passive income through the products I sell. I wake every morning more passionate than the day before about supporting people, growing my business, making others even more successful and living a life of Passion and Purpose.
