Live Your Dream. That’s what they say.

The question becomes ... ‘What is that dream?’
For me, it was to be able to bring my real inner self out into the world somehow...

"When joining The Coaching Institute, I knew I’d learn some great practical skills for ‘how to be a coach’. But, what I didn’t know was what else I’d find ...

I’d lived and learned a lot. I’d garnered some strength and wisdom, as we all do through our life’s journey. I was enjoying my life in a way - but at some point, I knew there was more to it than just living in a small comfortable bubble; the desire to help others kept growing.

"Learning how to love and connect with myself more than I have before has opened up a new world for me..."

What that would look like, I didn’t fully know, but I knew it kept calling me,

And through the years it never fully went away. After starting a family, the inner-nagging remained, and I knew I had to start doing something about it.

But what exactly did I want to bring out into the world? We don’t always know at first, but there’s magic and power in just following it.

As Goethe said, “What You Can Do, or Dream You Can, Begin It; Boldness Has Genius, Power, and Magic in It”

For so long I’d wanted to do something really meaningful and to also share my voice, through writing or speaking somehow, but that had always seemed like “Someday”.

When joining TCI, I knew I’d learn some great practical skills for ‘how to be a coach’. But, what I didn’t know was what else I’d find ...

When I came in for my first live training event, I was delightfully surprised to realise I was surrounded with people on a similar journey, wanting to make a positive impact in the world, and learning world-class skills to be able to bring this to life.

Many possibilities opened up in my mind through each training I participated in (and I’ve been to many!), and I have learned new practical ways to start bringing out “my thing” into the world.

Two of the things I love the most, are the beautiful connections I’ve made, and constantly seeing awesome things being done or created by so many of the wonderful TCI students. It just keeps showing me more of what’s possible.

I’ve loved being able to have a deeper level of conversation, sparking off insight and inspiration in each other, celebrating and supporting success.

I’ve enjoyed being able to expand my knowledge with practical skills to be able to start bringing out that inner voice, and start creating some cool things.

It’s touched not only my professional life, but also my personal.

I’ve been able to move forward in really heartfelt ways, because I’ve learned even more how to love myself and those around me with a kinder heart.

Learning how to love and connect with myself more than I have before has opened up a new world for me, in that everything in my life has become even better, with last year being a big one for me.

In the past year, I have been able to celebrate my evolution in both professional and personal life - from a major beautiful shift in my relationship, to a few ‘firsts’ in my professional life.

I worked in a role where I coached one-on-one, and started leading my first set of workshops there. Currently I work part-time in my coaching business (Empower Your Potential), and part-time in another position, which is something that I love for many personal reasons.

I love that I’m in a position to choose to work this way

Though I’m definitely focusing on growing my business this year, as I deepen my knowledge of human psychology and behaviour, and expand my business skills.

This year I’m also having my monthly articles (about my real journey of personal growth) published and featured in an online magazine (I was even featured on the front cover of the March 2019 edition)

And, excitingly, I’ve just started recording my new podcast where I am collaborating with awesome women to have real conversations about the woman’s inner journey, as we live and grow through life.

I have learned how to be more okay with the parts of me that still have everyday real challenges, alongside the joys and continue to create an even-deeper connection with myself, and love myself and others more as every day goes by.

It’s made my relationships better than they have been before.

With my partner, we had a big healing shift in our relationship. With my kids, I have learned how to be more present, and also how to hold space for my children’s needs and precious inner worlds. I see them starting to blossom in some ways I haven’t seen before, and it’s so beautiful.

Of course, there’s still challenge and growth through the unique phases of both my romantic and mothering relationships, and last year was an impactful one.

And not only that, I’ve also found deeper, more heartfelt connections with great people in my wider circle.

Some cool collaborations have grown, and by that I mean I’ve started along the trajectory that opens up and leads to other awesome opportunities being created.

I love waking up with purpose and spending time in areas of life that are important to me.

I think often about legacy, and what can I be creating now that I can leave behind.

I’m continuing to strengthen my inner self, give and experience more love, expand my wisdom, and just grow and improve every year.

And in doing this, it also means I have even more to share with the world.

I continue to learn in life and legacy and get better and better at living my days with love, purpose, grace, wisdom, and values as best I can.

Making that impact really does start with impacting yourself first.

I’ve learned how I can be imperfect and still do wonderful things.

You don’t have to ‘have all your shit together’ before you start the Journey. You’re IN the journey right now, you’re IN your life right now.

We’re already going to live life for the next 5, 10, 20, 50, however many years. Either way, you’re going to be there living it, experiencing it, having it, seeing it, feeling it.

So, if you’re going to be alive either way, then why not make it worthwhile; and even more than that, why not create wonderful possibilities that we can step into?

Why not??

Whatever that whisper is that calls to you. The one that calls you to bring out your inner gift, just do it.

Move in that direction. Turn your head towards it. Put one metaphoric foot in front of the other and walk closer to it. Unravel the journey that awaits.

I’m still unravelling mine - and I'm not the only one.

We’re all unravelling our journeys.

And ‘The Dream’ continues to unfold ...
