I Found My Smile

Yeah, I found my smile. I found, as you saw, I haven't smiled like this for six months since I had some bit of bad news. I showed my mom a video and she instantly rang me cried and said, I haven't seen that smile in six months and she just fully said, whatever you're doing I'll back you 100%, please bring back that smile.

"I Found My Smile"

What did you love most about the Foundations of Coaching Success training?

Apart from saying, everything?

Just the fact that it really opens up the Pandora's box, and the possibilities of where you want to go with it. Meeting everyone, the networking.

Yeah, and even finding people in there that can champion you through your progress which your own little triad that you form that's outside of The Coaching Institute, to get in touch every single day, which is what we're doing to each other.

It's awesome, I can't even describe it. It's just an amazing weekend to opening up what you can do.

“If I just change one thing and I'm not talking about the one percenters in what I want in life, if I can change one thing for someone, then my job is done. Just being a successful coach in the world for me. If one person does something different and everyone's out there so just give me one thing that I can change, I'll take it and run with it and I'll be the happiest person around.”

What ignited your desire to be able to say, okay, I'd like to explore something like coaching and come along to the Foundations training?

Another great question. I've always coached with a friend's, in retail, in my business I've got a sporting background so a couple of years ago I was coaching kids and it's just something that I've always wanted to give.

The wisdom that's been passed on to me in training and just wanting to give that back to people and found that I was already doing it, but had no structure, no language behind it.

The want to do it, it's who I am as a person, but I needed the help. I needed to reach out and say how do I do it better?

Or how can I do it that's more purpose than someone else and change their lives and coming to The Coaching Institute, getting introduced to everyone, watching how you operate as a coach to us sold the product.

What did it feel like for you to actually make that commitment and say, okay, you know what, I'm doing this for me?

Just that it was what it's supposed to be, what I'm about. To actually go, it's May 1st of always being caught doing things because I'm good at it and it was easy, due to financial, it's easy to make money.

I'm good at it which is shut up and do it, but the want to actually do something that actually is who you are and what's really important, the feeling, the goosebumps, we talk about, my hair stands out when I talk about it or I talk to people like minded in this industry.

It's everything to me.

My retail background, my heart wasn't in retail. My heart was more in training my staff.

And connecting with the people for a reason, why so I can help, so that is how my old job fulfilled me, nothing to do with making the money or being successful in a business in retail, but success in seeing my staff from kids become better people or rewarded financially.

Having the ability to go off and become who they want to be because of the structures I put in place to give them that opportunity.

That was huge and its like why am I doing the other half, why am I investing 80% into these other things where this is the one thing that really matters to me and this is really opened that Pandora's box.

What's been one of the things that you just loved learning about yourself?

To really put myself first. To really go at what am I doing. Like you said, with those health reasons, they really slapped me in the face, the timeline that comes with it 'cause it was always I can do that later. Let's get the financial, let's organize everything else first before me.

And just enough's enough. So, yeah, it's what I'm here for.

How has your relationships in life even just shifted with that decision?

Mainly my relationship with my partner, with her seeing the focus and the drive that I had in my business when we opened the second store and she saw that drive without passion and now she's seeing the drive with passion.

She literally the other day sat back and looked at me and goes, like, wow, I've never seen the passion before.

I've seen the commitment and the hours, but without the passion.

On that video, she saw it and yeah, it's huge.

To give that back to my mom. That she saw the thing that is me, it meant everything and I don't care now.

This is it. I'm not gonna take that from my mom again 'cause I'm her baby child and I just want to show her. I just want to show her that smile again and I don't care what it takes.

Now this is just the beginning for you. What are you excited about? What are you looking forward to?

Just giving back, helping someone. If I just change one thing and I'm not talking about the one percenters in what I want in life, if I can change one thing for someone, then my job is done. Just being a successful coach in the world for me.

If one person does something different and everyone's out there so just give me one thing that I can change, I'll take it and run with it and I'll be the happiest person around.
