I had something inside that just wanted to do more

"I just felt there was something missing. I felt I wanted to serve more, not so much for others, so others can make the money. It's not about money, it was just about serving. I had something inside that just ... Yeah, I wanted to do more. "

"I had something inside that just wanted to do more"

What are you loving about your journey being a coach at the moment?

Discovering about me. Yeah, absolutely. Discovering about me. I've come from a world where I was doing a lot, doing motherhood, doing work. Just doing.

So, yeah, it's really nice to tap into my being now.

I think it's teaching me how to have a better relationship with my children.

You know, with motherhood. But also with management too.

How un-resourcefully I was running it. You know, with teams and all of that before. And, yeah, I've just got a real appreciation for people now.

So,  how's the improved relationship with your kids?

I've just become more playful with the kids. I'm starting to enjoy them more.

Whereas I lost that. Prior to doing all this training I was a little bit martyrdom, if that makes sense.

So, running from a really un-resourceful state. Yeah, having a little bit of resentment cause I felt like I had to do everything. And without delegating, and without making them responsible for their own actions, too. So there's a bit of a flow happening now, which is really good.

“Yeah, and when you do the training, the Foundations of Coaching Success, it's, yeah, it opens up a whole new avenue and area where you just go, "Oh, my God, I didn't know that, and I didn't know that, and I didn't know that, wow.""

Before our Foundations of Coaching Success, where were you at in life, and what were you seeking or looking for?

Well, I've come from a background of event management. I loved event management, don't get me wrong. I just felt there was something missing. I felt I wanted to serve more, not so much for others, so others can make the money. It's not about money, it was just about serving. I had something inside that just ... Yeah, I wanted to do more.

But couldn't quite put my finger on it.

I knew I wanted to help people.

Whether that was via a charity, or you know. I couldn't just jump into a charity without having a road or a pathway to get there.

What was it like for you to actually make that decision [to do the Foundations of Coaching Success Training]?

Oh, it was easy. Wasn't hard at all because I already knew that this is where I wanted to be and this is the path that I needed to take.

The training, the coaching, the helping others.

Like this is just a pathway of helping others.

What are you loving about working with clients for yourself?

Well having my first paying client was an absolute bonus.

I've got 12 clients, and that's who I'm working with at the moment. So 12 paying clients.

It's awesome. I'm feeling such a ... yeah, really fulfilled. Like I am living what I said I was going to do. Which is massive.

What's been some of your challenges that you've experienced throughout the training, that you've really lent into, and you've loved and you've grown from the most?

Above the line, below the line thinking has been massive. I had to own where I was operating at and tweak that.

Take responsibility. And the other thing, just having the appreciation for others around. Not judging people. The map is not the territory which we land.

That's been massive for me.

Whereas I always thought I could go in there, and "I understand you, I understand what you're going through," but really, it's not until you actually learn the skills and the questions that you delve into, "Oh, I was wrong, who am I to judge?"

And I've become curious. More curious than I ever was, which is great.

I wanna leave a legacy of something behind, and I think where I'm meshing at the moment is with parents and teachers and children.

So, yeah, if I can just, if I know that I can help just one child, and know that that has come through me, I think that I couldn't ask for anything more. It's so fulfilling.

If someone's thinking, "Should I come along and do Foundations Coaching Success?" What would you say?

I would say, if you've got that whisper in your heart, just get in the room and do it.
