My Life Coaching Course was a gift to me
Everything in my life has prepared me for where I am right now. Synchronicity is a wonderful thing and I look back in wonder at how everything has lined up perfectly to bring me to this point in my life
Everything in my life has prepared me for where I am right now.
Synchronicity is a wonderful thing and I look back in wonder at how everything has lined up perfectly to bring me to this point in my life!
Up until 12 months ago I hadn’t allowed myself to consider an alternative to what I was doing. I was doing what I thought I ‘should’ be doing and sabotaging any opportunity for joy.
Working in Human Resources for 12 years had given me amazing opportunities however I wanted explore something that would give me greater connection with people.
"The past three months have been mind blowing! I have been challenged through every fibre of my being – there have been tears, laughter, anger and freedom as I have worked to release old patterns..."
I left my HR role in January 2013 and started a Naturopathic degree thinking this was going to give me the connection I was after as I loved talking to people.
This path however, wasn’t for me.
I knew that nutrition and health was an element of being ‘healthy’ however I slowly realised by reflecting on my own journey back to health that our success is driven by our mental state and how we choose to respond to life.
I stopped everything, took time out. Explored options...
In September 2013 I came across a The Coaching Institute ad in the Wellbeing magazine and something in me clicked.
I had never considered coaching, so I spoke with one of the course consultants and...
I knew this was my truth and I realised I didn’t need a lot of information to make a decision as I knew this was right for me. Structure and the illusion of ‘security’ had kept me ‘safe’ for too long.
I did my intake at TCI in November 2013 which confirmed everything for me– I was in heaven!
Every word that Joe said rang of truth and I felt as if I had come home. I was beyond grateful that this world existed and my colleagues and the team at TCI defined unconditional support and encouragement.
I joined knowing that my Masters course was a gift to me first and it has been!
I have been challenged through every fibre of my being – there have been tears, laughter, anger and freedom as I have worked to release old patterns.
This has been self realisation at its finest – all my flaws and vulnerability have been laid out and yep, it hurts but there is no alternative.
"I’m so grateful to be doing what I love and I’ve accepted that my journey will have amazing moments and challenges. I have chosen not to label or judge it in any way and just enjoy!"
In addition to the study and work on myself, I have run several short workshops with gyms, taken on paying clients, a group of amazing pro-bono clients.
I’ve written an article to be published in my chiropractor’s newsletter and I will be affiliated with a HR consulting business and independent recruitment consultant.
And I love every moment of it!
I’m exploring workshop options centred on health and well-being, building confidence and reconnecting people to their WHY. My medium term goal is to also take my work into the community which is very important to me.
The phenomenal training I’ll receive through The Coaching Institute will bring me closer to developing this.
I’m so grateful to be doing what I love and I’ve accepted that my journey will have amazing moments and challenges. I have chosen not to label or judge it in any way and just enjoy!
Life is a gift and I plan to feel and share all of it.
