My Thinking has Changed and It’s Amazing

Today I can honestly say that I am not the same person as I was back then. The most valuable thing that has changed for me is the way that I think. Once I fully embraced the belief that my thinking creates my reality I was able to start taking responsibility for creating a different outcome.

The most valuable thing that has changed for me is the way that I think.

When I attended my Foundations weekend my baby girl was only 6 months old. It was a huge stretch for me leaving her to travel from Perth to Melbourne for 3 days.

I felt unsure and afraid and I did not know if I was doing the right thing?

What I did know for sure was that I could not go back to working full time for someone else.

Dropping my kids off at daycare five days a week and having to travel for work at the drop of a hat was not the kind of life I wanted to live.

Foundations weekend showed me that there is another way. I left that weekend incredibly excited about creating life on my terms.

That was almost 2 years ago.

Today I can honestly say that I am not the same person as I was back then. The most valuable thing that has changed for me is the way that I think.

Once I fully embraced the belief that my thinking creates my reality I was able to start taking responsibility for creating a different outcome.

"I committed myself to showing up. It wasn’t always comfortable and certainly not easy but helping other people and creating a business that allows me to live life on my terms is heaven in my mind!"

Here are some of the things I learnt that has made the biggest difference to my life and my business:

  • Knowing that my thinking shapes my world

I kind of thought I knew this but it has become a cornerstone of my life now.

If I don’t like what I have I always ask myself “how did I create this situation through my own thoughts and actions?”.

This has also taught me to look at people I model and ask, firstly, ‘how do they think’ not ‘what do they do?’

  • Fear is an illusion

I believe that fear exists only because I made up a negative outcome to help protect my ego.

My ego is all about me, my business is about serving others. The two do not go together well.

So when I feel fear, I ask myself “How can I love my way through this?”. The answer usually involves taking the focus off of me and putting it back on serving my audience’s needs.

  • Every day I make an effort to live my ideal average day

I gave up networking a while ago because it was not serving me and it was not in line with my vision for my family life and my business.

I couldn’t just give it up without replacing it with another form of lead generation though.

I have dedicated a lot of time to learn how to take my business online.

It has been a massive learning experience for me and one that I have loved every step of the way.

Taking my business online has given me freedom to run my business around the needs of my family.

I celebrated the day I officially resigned from my full-time position when my maternity leave came to an end.

Although I haven’t fully replaced my income yet, I am moving closer the goal every day.

I committed to showing up. It wasn’t always comfortable and certainly not easy.

But, helping other people and creating a business that allows me to live life on my terms is heaven in my mind!

Thank you Sharon and The Coaching Institute community for being there every step of the way!
