I left my wonderful, long term, full time job to fulfil a life dream. I chose to give myself a chance, to learn, grow and invest in myself so that I could help people discover their purpose and reach their full potential.
Late last year I got to a point in my life where something had to change. I was living a life that although was good was not taking me where I wanted to go.
I had to accept that in order to reach that life dream I had to do something that I had never done before. So I left my wonderful, long term, full time job to fulfil a life dream.
I chose to give myself a chance, to learn, grow and invest in myself so that I could help people discover their purpose and reach their full potential.
I had personally experienced what it was to find your purpose in life and wanted to help others do the same. It was a bold decision that required courage and what an exhilarating ride it has been so far!!

Whilst nearly every area of my life has improved since commencing this journey there was one area that still concerned me – financial success.
I felt really bad that my family were being impacted by my decision to pursue a dream. It didn’t seem fair, why should they suffer?
I was also behaving like I deserved financial success – I mean I made the courageous decision to step out and start my own coaching business, shouldn’t there be a reward in that? I was confused by why this area of my business wasn’t flourishing when others were.
Just this week in a coaching session of my own I was reminded of the choices that are available to me and that I am free to choose from these options at any time.
Financially providing for my family was something I valued as well as starting my own business and pursuing a dream, but I felt like they were clashing.
All it took was a changed mind set from ‘I am stuck and my family will suffer because of me’ to ‘I have choices and I am capable of making the best decision for myself AND my family at all times’.
When I believed and accepted this I felt the pressure and heavy burden lift from my shoulders.
I will not put my family at risk, I will know when it is time to make a decision to get another job to supplement my income or persist to build a successful coaching business.
I am their mother, I will know. What a wonderful reminder and a powerful shift in mind set.

Do you know what was just as sweet? After I got off the phone from this coaching session, having undergone a major shift in my mind set, I checked my emails and what was waiting for me???
So for now I take one step at a time, enjoying the journey and all that this journey has to offer, serving clients and those around me to the best of my ability.
I am choosing not to worry about future impacts my decisions will have on my family because I am trusting that I will know what to do if and when I have to change directions, just like I knew when to make a really big one late last year.
