Ever since I was 16 years old I wanted to help people become the best they can be and to live the most incredible life they had ever dreamed of. I wanted to be a Life Coach but I didn't feel that I had much life to coach with...
After high school, I went on a journey to equip myself with various knowledge and skills so I would be at my own personal peak and feel I was able to coach and train others.
“I was looking for my place in the world and where I could really contribute my best to others but found that all of these occupations touched on an area of my interests and developed my abilities and knowledge to a point but didn’t go any further than that . . .”
And I enjoyed being introduced to human thinking and behaviour. However, I was apprehensive in finishing a masters in this because I wasn't certain that I felt this was the most powerful tool to help the people I wanted to impact. The books and research just wanting seeming to apply to those I saw struggling.
Going on to work in and study HR / training and development, I got to learn about business. However, I found that I didn't get the opportunity to really help people or work through different issues that they were coming up against in life.
After that, I decided to become a Secondary School Teacher because I thought that I could really help them and offer some guidance and assistance in their time of need. I enjoyed working with youth and helping them learn about life. At the same time, there's a lot of other superfluous work that didn't link with my purpose of helping people become their best.
I was looking for my place in the world. Somewhere I could really contribute my best to others...
Still feeling like I didn't have all of the necessary wisdom and strategies to help myself or the people surrounding me experience their best life yet...
All of these occupations touched on an area of my interests and developed my knowledge to a point, but they didn't go any further than that.
The Coaching Institute seemed to stand out from the other training institutions in so many ways.
Because of what I had heard in Psychology classes and in some other places, I was skeptical of Life Coaching. I was worried that it was a lot of talk from people who didn't really have a grasp on reality and would offer quick fix solutions.
Although I was apprehensive about doing more study and didn't think that I could learn anything new, helpful, or life changing... I spoke to some of the staff at The Coaching Institute who answered a lot of my questions so graciously.
And I thought I would give it a try...
Once I commenced my training, I was continually amazed by the clear, simple yet comprehensive and transformational learning that took place!
The knowledge and experiences I was gathering was actually changing my life!
They were helping me through some decisions and concerns that I had. Some I had worked on for years and other professions or education couldn't help me shift.
Everything that has been shared has added value to my life. It has challenged and developed me and has been so easy to apply to my coaching and training.
