Over the past 8 years I have owned and ran 2 successful businesses. The first two were in completely different industries; one was in construction and the other was in network marketing. The business in the construction industry was to enable my husband to have the flexibility to be with our children, on our terms, I always wanted him to be able to have the same luxuries as me to spend time with our precious children. And the second business in the network marketing industry was to fulfil a desire to be entrepreneurial and have my own business, and at the same time be able to help others achieve their dreams.
Three years ago, though, I became obsessed and passionate about human behaviour, and what it takes internally to become a master of life and a master of business. I was fascinated with finding out my patterns, sabotages and self-limiting beliefs that had been holding me back my whole life. Back then I was depressed often, a chameleon (always changing to suit other people), and had no idea what gave me purpose, joy and fulfilment. Since then I have come through hoops and hurdles (and I always look forward to them as hoops & hurdles= growth) to be the person I am today- self-accepting, self-loving, on purpose and completely passionate for what I do.
My businesses were great, but I felt kind of empty inside. It was after my own inner transformation that I decided to hand over my network marketing business and find my ‘purpose’. All along it was the one thing I was obsessed about.
And so my third business began, coaching other business owners, with the intention of giving back as much of what I had learned as possible.
I now get to combine my three absolute passions in life- business, human behaviour and self-awareness. All three make a powerful combination in owning your own business.
And I now get to work with other business owners, so that they can have them all too, and be as successful as they desire. My business is ‘Brilliant Business Minds’, and my philosophy in the business is that the inner transformation is just as important as the outer.
I now have business to business relationships who also believe that you need to ‘Master the Inner Game of Success’. Our values and missions are aligned, and I know that it will be a great success.
I have also just signed my first paying speaking gig! Speaking is a passion of mine, and something I want to develop along with facilitation in the future. I am absolutely stoked that I allowed myself to ‘fail’ enough times to have landed a paid gig, as it sets the benchmark for me in the future.
I am planning my business to be focussed on speaking and training on a much larger scale in the future, and work alongside these business to business ventures to grow my market.
What I attribute most to my success is hard work and never taking my foot off the pedal, despite what is happening between my ears.
