Maggie Wood - Diploma Student

I’d been involved in stand-up comedy for many years. In 2011 I co- wrote and performed a comedy and music show called Three Stuffed Mums. That led to us being contracted to deliver a comedy course for mums. It was an outstanding success and I found I had more fulfilment in watching our student’s blossom and grow than I had from getting up on stage myself, so I searched for a way to develop that skill and found The Coaching Institute.

My TCI Journey began in July 2012 and right now I’m on the cusp of some very exciting developments. I’m expanding into events with some great strategic partners, exploring a number of different ways of presenting and I’m attracting more paying clients for one on one coaching.

My biggest turning point was completing NLP, HTRSW and Advanced Skills all within a reasonably short time. Together with my nearly a year coaching one to one I now felt fully armed and confident to go to the market with my products. I needed to take the time to become the person I need to be, first and foremost.

Emma Bryce – Diploma Student

Before I started my coaching journey, I worked in banking running large, technology change programs as a project and change manager. I am passionate about helping people in business embrace change, especially technological change, which can be quite daunting.

So I enrolled in the Diploma program in 2011 to learn more about coaching to improve my skills in this area. I was also very curious about NLP and how it could help the people I worked with. And me!

After specialising in coaching people working in projects and change (and loving it!), it was time for some change of my own. My long-time friend Priya and I decided to join forces. We combined my coaching skills and Priya’s web and social media talents to form a joint venture called That Online Stuff to help small businesses and solopreneurs with their online presence.

Sarah Adamson – Diploma Student

I work full time in health and emergency services, and am the proud solo supporter of two beautiful girls, 17 and 5. At the time I was caught up in allowing myself to be the victim of my circumstances ~ I created beliefs about myself that were inconsistent with how I wanted people to see me as (the real Sarah Adamson). I was involved in self-sabotaging behaviours that did not serve, support, and nurture or challenge me – they simply allowed me to divest myself of responsibility and to play the blame game. When I joined The Coaching Institute on 17th August, 2011 it was on a journey of personal development and a belief that I had some skills that may be able to assist others to become the best they could be. I realised that I had created a reality that I no longer wanted to identify with anymore, and if I truly believed in 100% responsibility, that it was my choice to propel forward to the success I desired.

Ben Kain – Diploma Student

My intake weekend was in August 2009. Before I joined I started from a place of depression. I had the best job in the world but still couldn’t be happy. I was very much all or nothing and the nothing times were hell. I wasn’t even compelled to get out of bed. I came to The Coaching Institute to deal with my depression. Not only did I get my ‘X’ but I have been given the whole alphabet as well! It’s called the instruction manual to my brain. And now it’s interesting. I no longer measure myself with regard to clients or what my certification is. I am due to do Master Practitioner next month, NLP Trainers Training next year and am new to Mastermind but that doesn’t matter anymore. It’s all the fun along the way. I am already and always have been a coach. We all are when we give.
